NamLAN 2017 Results

The Namibian Electronic Sports Association (NESA) has successfully hosted NamLAN for the tenth consecutive year in a row, promoting good governance and professionalism in Namibian electronic sports.

The weekend of the 30th November to the 3rd of December, Namibian gaming fans were treated to a 4-day gamethon at the 10th Anniversary of NamLAN - LAN of the Brave which saw competitive gameplay at its best on 4 different platforms, PC, PlayStation 4, racing simulator and for the first time ever a TCG (Trading Card Game).

The action took place at the UNAM Gym Hall in Windhoek which was a hive of activities as professional gamers in the country and beginners alike came together for this annual eSports festival.

NESA PRO, Timo Lippert, explains that "it’s always exciting to see new members of the overall gaming community at NamLAN coming to celebrate with us, and, of course, the best of eSports in Namibia showcasing how far their competitive electronic sports skills have come since we first launched this unique event".

Thanks to the sponsors Monster Energy, Vander Designs, Energy 100FM, Future CC, WestcoSoft, KIA Motors, Cash Converters, MikelJes Music Productions and Link Media, the eSports winners were able to walk away with prizes to the value of N$30 000!
